In those early days, the demand for ventilators skyrocketed, and the need was dire. At Master Medical Equipment (MME), we were honored to answer the call, playing a crucial role in providing reliable, high-quality equipment during an incredibly challenging time.

This collaboration created a steady stream of fully functional equipment to healthcare facilities at a time when new units were scarce.

At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, Master Medical Equipment was one of the few companies with patient-ready ventilators in stock. A Manhattan-based EMS customer shared this news to the Office of Emergency Management in New York. Within moments, New York’s Mayor Bill de Blasio called Mark Taylor, CEO, and Justin Smith, Co-Founder of ReNew Biomedical. On the conference call, Mayor de Blasio and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo urgently requested any ventilators MME could ship the next day. The next day, MME sent patient-ready, life-saving ventilators to the heart of New York. The letter of gratitude from New York is proudly displayed at our HQ, and serves as a proud reminder of the life-saving difference we made.

Once again, Mark and Justin were on another call — this time with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and the CEO of Henry Ford. This was another example of how, during a crisis, word spread about our ability to deliver essential medical equipment to healthcare workers, regardless of the challenge.

From worsening staffing shortages and budget constraints to disrupted supply chains, hospitals and medical facilities found themselves navigating an entirely new world. In response to these evolving conditions, MME didn’t just weather the storm — we grew. Over the past five years, we’ve doubled in size, expanding both our inventory of in-demand medical equipment and the breadth of our services. This growth has allowed us to meet the ongoing challenges facing healthcare workers, and reinforces our unwavering commitment to being a trusted partner in delivering top-tier care.
